When you submit the booking enquiry form on this website, we collect your full name, phone number, email address, preferred training type, preferred area, and your requested date and time slot. When you request an instructor callback, we collect your name, phone number, optionally your email, and any fault summary or note you choose to include. We do not collect or store any payment card details. There is no account registration system on this website.

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your lesson booking request, confirm your appointment and follow up on your training enquiry. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose not described in this policy.

We process your personal data on the legal bases of legitimate interest and contract performance under Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). When you submit a booking form, we have a legitimate interest in processing your details to respond to your request and, if you proceed, to perform the contract for driving instruction services.

Booking enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months from the date of your enquiry, after which it is deleted. If you have completed a course of lessons, we may retain minimal records for up to 2 years for accounting and administrative purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at info@smartdrivingacademy.ie.

Under GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data: the right to access a copy of your data; the right to have inaccurate data corrected (rectification); the right to have your data deleted (erasure); the right to restrict how we process your data; the right to data portability; and the right to object to processing. This website uses only essential functional cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or analytics cookies. The only value stored in your browser is your cookie consent preference, saved in localStorage under the key sda_cookie_consent. This value is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any server. No third-party cookies are set by this website. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly service that counts anonymous page views — it stores nothing on your device, does not use cookies and does not identify or track individual visitors.

Fonts on this website are self-hosted — no request is made to Google Fonts or any other font service, so your IP address is not shared with third parties just by loading a page. The website is hosted on Vercel, whose cookieless Web Analytics counts anonymous page views without identifying visitors. No other third-party services process your personal data through this website. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking service.

Tools on this website that read files — such as the driving test result analyser — process your file entirely within your own browser, on your own device. The file is never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us. For RSA result PDFs, the page containing your personal details is skipped automatically and is not read at all. All extracted information is discarded when you close the page. The only data that reaches us is information you actively choose to send through a booking, callback or contact form, which is then handled as described in sections 2 to 5 above. The result analyser also offers an optional, clearly-labelled checkbox to share your result anonymously for fault statistics: if you tick it, only the fault counts, the test centre you select and the calendar month are stored — no name, no contact details, no IP address, and nothing that could identify you. This anonymous information is used to publish aggregate guides such as the most common faults at each test centre.
